Of course, how can I overlook my #1 favorite movie of all time...Amy Heckerling's directorial debut of 1982 by Universal Pictures, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" based on the book of the same name written by Cameron Crowe. Crowe, was then in his early 20's. He went undercover at what is believed to be Clairemont High in Clairemont Mesa (in San Diego). Funny how Crowe is now an Oscar winner and makes "serious" films like "Jerry Maguire" (I hated that flick), "Vanilla Sky", "Almost Famous" (based on his personal experience as a teenage rookie writer for Rolling Stone magazine and touring with famous bands in the 70's) and "Vanilla Sky". Other than Fast Times, I really enjoyed 1989's "Say Anything". So here are some of my favorite quotes from the best and one of the more honest teen flicks of the 80's (pre-John Hughes).
