"Ride the Lightning" (full album) - Metallica

Her name is Rio...

It's cute to hear TC sing the chorus of 'Rio' by Duran Duran.

Her musical tastes are so sheltered, of course by design. Radio sux and all that Disney/teenybopper shit does too.

Wait 'til I get her into Metallica... (kidding)

I discovered half a year ago that my goddaughter is more tuned into the kiddie/Radio Disney thing than I thought. We tune Radio Disney as background when she comes over AND SHE KNOWS ALL THE SONGS AND ARTISTS!!!!

The thing about Radio Disney is that the teenybopper acts seem to consistently remake songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I would end up singing along and her eyes would widen in stunned amazement. "How do you know the words?" she asks. Then I would have to give her a little history lesson.

Oh yeah, Radio Disney has helped me fine tune my jesse mccartney impersonation . . . which isn't too hard. It's like a VERY whiny version of justin.

well we don't even listen to disney shit at all.

disney and barney are the anti-christ.

just old disco classic/classic rock/60's and some early 80's stuff.

hopefully she'll won't be into talentless teenybopper so-called bands.boy bands, etc...and be into real musicians

Someday the child will come home and be ga-ga over some white boy band and you'll have a weird picture of him that flashes when the computer starts up becasue she downloaded it and saved it somewhere weird and nobody knows where it is and it flashes too fast to catch it and you keep wondering who is this asian kid on my computer!!!!!

old classic disco stuff like "ring my bell" and "push push in the bush". If I ever hear my goddaughter sing those lyrics . . . I . . .WILL . . . JUST. . .DIE.

OKAYYY, not THOSE disco classics...i weed out those sexual double entendre songs....

i'm talking about 'Kung Fu Fighting', 'Hot Line' and 'Car Wash', 'Star Wars Disco', 'Boogie Nights' (the song, not the movie)

actually i DO have that song downloaded for fun but it's not on a cd or anything. did you know that song was written (and i believe, performed by) rick dees, that annoying deejay from years back.

the child loves the star wars disco song by meco. her favorite part in the medley is the cantina band.

our child is going to know so many wierd references because of us!!!
