We'd been to the one in Tustin and since we were on the way up, thought to make a quick stop here...
at this fancy'ish collection of upscale shops complete with a food hall. It's right across the street from the ocean. There was a separate parking structre since there was no street parking. The one lot we thought we could park at actually did not offer free parking (there were no signs saying we couldn't be we didn't want to take chances).

It was still pretty early so many of the stores were not yet open (Urban Outfitters, Sephora, H & M, etc). The gardeners were out landscaping and watering the tropical plants throughout the center.
TC and I enjoyed the views out here. Just down the ways was the Pier (you can barely see it)...

The coffee place was in here, this food hall which was mostly empty thus far (early morning)...I saw Pie Not (an Australian meat pie place based in Costa Mesa) and an ice cream and cupcake place. This particular food hall was called Lot 579.

Empty! Devoid of people and crowds! The way I like it!

Yes, time for coffee #2...Bert chose the El Limon pourover (the beans were from Guatemala) while TC had a grapefruit drink. As for me, I had a macchiato.

Just the perfect sized shot of espresso I needed. Bert really enjoyed his pourover which was quite smooth...

I have to say that their coffee here is really excellent. We have yet to try the Costa Mesa location.

We finished our drinks and went back out in the sun...The pier was only a few blocks away and we had to check it out in person. TC loves going on piers and we were curious to see it as well.We still had hours to kill before checking in to our hotel in San Pedro later that afternoon...
