Fig Tree Cafe, Liberty Station + Hawthorn Coffee with D

Yesterday, I hung out with D...

she had some time off from work so it was nice being able to spend it with her...

Breakfast was at Fig Tree Cafe in Liberty Station...I haven't been here in four years (yikes) and she hadn't been to this location.

It's near my bank and kind of hidden, which was fine.  The morning glory vine has filled in quite well for their outdoor patio.  Everything looks so nice and lush now. Four years ago, it was still barren looking.

Not that crowded yet, but when we left it was. D started off with their house coffee...I was holding off for later.

Our glorious breakfast:

D's bacon, eggs muffins and side salad.

My breakfast sandwich (BLT) with a side of cubed and fried potatoes (those were so damn good) and a side of chicken apple sausage. Sorry no closeup but those sausages were pretty juicy and had a great snap to it.  None of that shriveled up nonsense.  Bert enjoyed my leftovers later that day, the sausage and the other sandwich half. I requested for my egg to be over hard. All of the ingredients were so nice and fresh. I departed somewhat from my usual meat/potatoes/eggs plate, but kept it in sandwich form though, ha ha.

Later, as we walked near the Public Market entrance, we saw these really cool paintings near the columns...

Turns out the line at Moniker Coffee was too damn long. I didn't want to wait so we took off and headed to the outer edges of North Park for Hawthorn Coffee...

Our drinks:

D's Herbal blueberry tea (such a pretty color) & my banana cold brew:

Really loved our drinks here and enjoying the people and dog watching while outside.

Previous visit to Fig Tree Cafe:
October 2014

We kept our morning short due to her work schedule. We would be seeing each other again in a few weeks for TORC's upcoming birthday crawl.
