I was going to post photos from this taco joint, but, like a doofus, accidentally erased my photos!!!! Fk! I can't believe I did that. Luckily I had most of my photos already uploaded into our computer at home, but still, I was bummed. I didn't care too much for the food photos, but more for the pictures of my daughter.
Well, I used my discount card to get a "BOGO" (Buy one, Get one Free) deal on a carne asada burrito. So, it was $4.99 for two instead of each. There seems to be an oversaturation of Los Primos in eastern Chula Vista. This particular location was in the San Miguel Ranch area - the same shopping center as the new Albertson's and Villa Capri (posted on this place in late September). The other location is in the new Eastlake Village Walk (near Trader Joe's, Henry's and Borders) behind Target.
Let's put it this way...(insert Latino male name here)-Berto's are better than this! While it was a good size, the heat from the meat melted the guacamole, making it too mushy for my taste. My husband liked his though, but I've had better.

*sigh* I miss good Mexican food. Even in Toronto it isn't easy to find good "authentic" Mexican food. There are a handful of "good" Mexican restaurants in T.O., but for most people, they don't know the difference between "Mexican" and "Tex Mex". Luckily I had Mexican students at the college I taught at who loved to cook! LOL!
PS. I didn't hate "Knocked Up". I actually thought some of it was really funny. I think I was more concerned with the foul language since my student was watching the movie with us. It's so hard to not cross that border of teacher/friend relationships, especially when the students are living with you.
I remember one winter when my car almost slid off the highway because I hit a patch of black ice and I yelled "OH, FCUK! OH, MUTHA FCUKING SH!T!!!" I couldn't help it. I was scared that we were going to die! When we got home, one of my Korean students was laughing his butt off and the other one was MAD...at ME!!! She wasn't mad that we almost died. She was mad that I "said bad words" and that I was impolite and good teachers don't swear. LOL!!!! *sigh*
i can see why that particular movie wouldn't be a good first choice to watch with an English language learner. poor thing! her ears must have been assaulted by all that vulgarity!
