Snacks at Thanh Tam Bakery, Garden Grove

Not too far from Bonchon was a bakery I saw that popped up on google maps.

Thanh Tam is a Vietnamese bakery and usually those establishments have pate chaud....

which they did have!  There was a crowd of people picking up large orders. While we waited in line, I looked at their offerings. They had some pre-packaged Vietnamese foods and foods for easy pickup as well as various tea drinks and snacks.

This was the Bo Bia, which was spring rolls filled with egg and Chinese sausage. Inside was a container of peanut sauce and a jalapeno slice.  This was a delicious savory snack that was more filling than those tiny wing scraps, ha ha.

This was what I was excited about - puff pastry covering pork balls within, the pate chaud.

Flaky goodness to the max!  Bert and I enjoyed these very much. TC also had a boba milk tea here (not pictured).

No website but here are the reviews from that four lettered site

We were closest to a beach town we only passed through briefly before. We decided to kill some time there before meeting up with Bert's brothers later this afternoon for dinner in Santa Ana...
