The old Blue Lagoon Coffee is now the newest Dark Horse

Earlier today we check out the newest location of Dark Horse....

Does this look familiar to you?

Sadly, the shop took over the short lived Blue Lagoon (which I'd only visited twice but posted once). The folks working there were really nice and the barista was so cool,  Nyah. I wonder where she is now.

We got there pretty early, which is our routine on weekends. I love beating crowds and enjoying coffee with Bert at our fave spots or new ones like this.

Same menu as their lother locations. Bert got the salted maple latte while I stuck with my standard cortado. I love that it was poured in a rose gold glass. Looked beautiful in the morning sun.

Before leaving, I also ordered a cold brew. Here is it before and after adding milk.

Nice and smooth! I hope this place lasts longer than Blue Lagoon (here is my lone Blue Lagoon post from February).

I recognized one of the baristas from the Golden Hill location; they're all pretty cool here.  They are one of my favorite roasters where I don't mind wearing their t-shirt designs. Reppin' San Diego Coffee heh heh. I love their roasts and the simplicity of their drinks. Looking forward to fall and winter drink specials here...
