Los Panchos Taco Shop, Eastlake

This post is a few months afterwards, having been here in late May...

when TC had a night function at her school...

Bert and I stopped by Los Panchos taco shop in East CV before going to the awards night. We wanted to get in an early dinner since it was going to be a long evening.

Haven't been here in a while but noticed that they rearranged the seating completely and added a long booth at cuts near the line where folks order and wait.  There used to be open space with tables in the middle.  Kind of a strange layout.

We went overboard with the salsas and the other accoutrements (sliced radishes, pickled onion and carrots). Of the sauces, I liked the chunky one the best because it was fresh and not as hot as th e chipotle or habanero salsas.

We kept it simple  - a burrito and a trio of tacos. The burrito was chili verde; the tacos were adobada, carnitas, and cabeza. You can't tell which is which since they were pretty much covered with sauce (put on by the workers not me).

Very nice but I could have done with less beans. This was Bert's so I only had a few bites. Not into beans myself. I think of them as filler and don't really like the mushy texture, sorry bean fans.

These tacos were good - my favorite was the cabeza, which was the most tender. None of the meats were dry. The adobada had a great flavor as well, but I wished that the tacos didn't come pre-sauced so I could enjoy the flavor of each taco better (or customize with a different sauce).

I'll have to let know to put less sauce next time!

No website but here are the reviews from you know where

This is in the same shopping center with Vons, In 'n Out and Denny's (which used to be the now defunct Achiote, a crappy Mexican restaurant that didn't last that long).  Parking can be kind of hectic during peak times.
