we left pretty early to get a headstart, but first, we had to have our coffeee...
which was here at Lucky Llama, Carpinteria's resident coffee shop. We were here the previous year and really liked it.
Outside was their self proclaimed "World's Largest Torrey Pine", the Wardholme Pine (please see previous post with more info linked at the end). It's pretty damn tall!
We liked the namesake pillows here. No two were alike.
Our drinks - Macchiato + cortado.
Plus a bear claw that we shared. We were saving our appetite for a future stop later that morning.
It wasn't as flaky as we would have liked, but it was a little something to nibble on while we had our coffees, which were both quite good and smooth.
Morning fog still on the 101...
The folks at the coffee shop were really nice. It wasn't crowded during our quick stay.
