One of the neighbors the next street over ALSO went as Slash! He's actually bald, which I didn't know. When I showed Bert the photo, he recognized him as a neighborhood kid's dad. Anyways, it was funny because my sis just HAD to get a photo of the two Slashes
For school, TC reprised her Annabeth Chase costume (who is one of the demigods in Rick Riordan's "Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian" series). She also made her own "armor" out of cardboard, using felt to attach the pieces and silver duct tape to cover the cardboard. She actually won the "best homemade" costume contest. The "shield" was a repurposed cookie platter, ha ha. The orange shirt is obscured but it has a Pegasus with "Camp Half-Blood" on it.
Later on, before it got dark, my sis and her younger son came over to trick or treat with TC. TC went as a ninja for tonight. My nephew was a headless dude. The top of his "head" was sliced and you could see the "brain". My sis dressed up 80's and there I am again
Outfit deets - scrunchy with a top/side ponytail, Duran Duran shirt (borrowed from me), mini skirt, leggings, rubber bracelets, leg warmers and checkered Vans (her son's). Tying the bandana around her thigh was my idea as well. Her bangs were also teased up. We were cracking up at her fake pose.
Bert in his Merriman jersey, demon mask and hood. Well, it's not really a demon, but more like a Skeletoresque mask. Those bones on the gloves glow in the dark!

Someone gave a full size candy bar in there. Another person gave out snack size chip bags! And ooh, Fun Dip!
Fun night! But it got a bit tiresome for me after walking around a few blocks in boots. It was also hard to see wearing those dark shades at night. I know Corey Hart can do it, but I can't handle it with my failing eyesight. By 8 pm, the trick or treating finally died down. Thank fk for that! Time to retire that flame retardant wig now!

Everyone looks so good! And whatta stash for TC. I laughed at Bert's Chargers shirt. Too bad the Chargers couldn't come out as winners.

OMG! When I was in high school I was IN LOOOOVE with Slash! I tried to decide who I was going to marry. Axl or Slash. I thought they were both sooooo hawwwwwt! LOL!
