Lunch & Dessert @ Nijiya & V French Bakery

The last week before I went on break, TC and I went out. Earlier that morning we had a late breakfast at The Swell Cafe and did a bit of thrift store browsing in OB.

We were a bit hungry again so we ventured into the Convoy area. There's always something good in Nijiya's deli section...

Coffee Fix - Return to Cafe Moto, a visit to Donny's Cafe & back to Better Buzz Drive Thru

Ever since I had that iced coffee from Cafe Moto, I've been wanting it again...

Bert and I were out and about very early one weekend after having dropped off TC for a dance related event...

Return to Station Tavern, Cardamom Cafe & Moosie's

Last weekend we had the pleasure of meeting up with the Horns in South Park...

Station Tavern was chosen due to it's dog friendly outside patio.

TC was excited to see "The Doctor" once again...

Bruce Lee Statue @ the Cultural Plaza

During our recent road trip to LA in which the main goal was to visit the newly reopened Velveteria, I had a list of places to see and or/visit...

As you can see, we pretty much hit up most of them. Anal much? Why yes!!!  That's how I roll...

Wandering Chopsticks mentioned that there was a Bruce Lee statue somewhere in Chinatown so of course we wanted to check it out...

Blackwell's Corner - James Dean's last stop

Tired of seeing road pictures yet?  Well too bad!

We took the advice from the insurance dude at the coffee house and took the 101 South to the 46 West...

He said it was a much more scenic route than taking the 5 straight down. Since we hadn't taken the 46 before, we did just that...

First Street Coffee House

With our donuts safely in their box, we made the super short drive to this strip mall...

where there was a popular (if the reviews were to be believed) coffee house...

Day 5 - Gilroy Donut House

We awoke to the sound of thunder and rain that morning. Breakfast consisted of leftovers from Arizmendi and Sheng Kee but it still wasn't going to be enough.

After checking out of the hotel and going across the tracks, we made a quick stop at the local donut house...

Sam's Chowderhouse and heading to Gilroy

Our trek down brought us to Half Moon Bay where we thought we could check out the beach even though it was rainy.

The park ranger at the beach parking lot told us that there was a $15 fee (yikes).  She waived it when we told her that we just wanted to use the restroom facilities....

Return to E & Drink & Ice Blast + new mac flavor from Big Joy

[Update - E & Drink closed as of late 2017 and Ice Blast closed as of late 2015]

Last week I took TC and one of her friends to PB to go thrift store shopping...

We went early enough so parking was easy to find. In fact, several thrift stores were within walking distance from where I parked so that was quite convenient...

Return to Aunt Emma's Pancakes

Earlier this morning Bert and I were out super early, like waaaaay early.

We dropped off TC with the dance company in the wee morning hours. They would be traveling to LA for festival performance. The night before our neighborhood had a scheduled power outage and the electricity wouldn't be on 'til 8 am...

The French Patisserie Inc.

By this time the heavy rain had subsided although there was still a misty drizzle while driving through the small beach town of Pacifica...

which is also the hometown of former SNL comedian/actor Rob Schneider (who is half Filipino by the way)...
