was our next coffee stop which is housed in a winery of all places
We'd been wanting to do Sleeping Tiger the last time we were up here, but ended up bailing on it because it was mega crowded and parking really sucked. We avoided the freeway because I saw the dreaded "red line" on the 5 on googlemaps. We elected to take surface streets down to Carlsbad which took longer than expected but at least we were moving.
We ended up parking blocks away but that's okay since it's get to get your steps in, right?

Their menu - I like how they break it down. I also like that they have housemade syrups that you can customize your drinks with.

This was the coffee side; the other side was Witch Creek Winery (sorry no pix)..

This is the first time I've tried a cortado with a flavored syrup. None of this fake crap, no. It was their housemade Nutella syrup. As we did at the other stops, we ordered a macchiato for comparison.

Both drinks were very well made. No sugar or creamer needed. This cortado was one of the better one's I've had all year. Folks here were really nice. We sat in their outdoor patio which was mixed in with antique decor. Better lighting outside too!

Not too far from Sleeping Tiger was our last stop of the day. I was totally hopped up on caffeine and was beginning to regret trying so much in one morning...
