for our anniversary dinner...
One of these days, she won't want to hang out with boring old mom and dad (sniff sniff) but for now, she's still not embarassed to be in our company (I kid)...
We like how they change up their menu, so every we go here, it's like a fun surprise.
Bert's nut brown ale and TC's prickly pear lemonade which she loved (it's not too sour either, but wow, look at that vivid hue!).
Patatas bravas with lemon basil aioli - These were so good! I wished there were more of the bigger smashed potatoes, whcih were fried so crisp. There needs to be more aioli in my opinion. That little smear wasn't enough. Just drown my potatoes in that next time please.
On a whim, I ordered these green beans (alla Gemignani, which I had to look up and found that it is an Italian noble surname). The beans are fried (and still crisp) in olive oil and topped with breadcrumbs and sea salt (Icelandic, according to the menu description).
Salad was Stone Fruit Panzanella - marinated foccacia (or, their day old leftovers, ha ha) with melons and nectarine (or peach), tomatoes, and red onions with a light dressing. I asked to have the feta on the side so it wouldn't ruin the salad. No, I didn't really say but I wanted to. Bert and TC ended up eating the horrific feta. The salad was really good. Let's put it this way, there were no leftover tonight.
Our pizza, dubbed the Super Vegan (that's what it says on their menu) - sliced vegetables, roasted and marinated eggplant, squash, red onions, preserved lemons, parsley and pine nuts. And yes, topped with MEAT. Prosciutto to be precise. No cheese on this since it was "vegan" but had to have that sliced, shaved and cured meatz on there.
Delicious everything was.

- Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead died (not a fan of their music so didn't really care)
- The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened in Cleveland, Ohio (I would love to visit that one day)

Funny....when we last visited Tribute; we had the potatoes and green beans too!
Those potatoes were so good Kirk! Was tempted to get a meat and cheese board but that would have been too much food, ha ha.
