Memorial Day

This past Memorial Day was pretty easy and kick back. We had a potluck with the family at our place.

A trio of salads: fruit salad, mac and mixed greens. Once again, my mom made the mac salad with chicken. She added cherries on top for garnish. Kinda fail because I didn't really like seeing it and tasting cherries with mayo and mac. Sorry mom! But she doesn't read this blog (or any blog for that matter) anyways.

Bird update

Sad update  :(

This past Sunday, TC found one of the baby birds dead on the concrete near the bougainvillea shrub.

We were wondering how it got out of the nest when it was so young and weak. Maybe it was the runt and it got pushed out? When TC asked me to come see the bird, my heart sank.  The nestling was already dead and several ants were sniffing around. The next morning it was GONE. Maybe a bigger bird came by and ate it or a neighborhood cat. Poor thing...

Wedge this...

Can you tell I love wedges? They're the summer "it" shoe!

Toki x 3

Isn't this cute? This is the Favola print Tokidoki in the Carino cross body style...I love the different fairy tale characters. Which ones can you spot?

Robopolis

C in Manitoulin Island, this is for you!

Go to Toronto now I say!

Pattz....R Pattz.

He can wear combat boots with a pink feather boa and those nasty onion skin shorts from the International Male catalog and still look good!

Palate cleanser...

Just a little wardrobe break in between the Toronto posts...

In continuing with the shoe and clothing posts, here's a new (but still dark) color I'm sporting, Navy Blue with Crisp White. Nautical colors but not nautical looking.

Yo man, I feel like Thurston Howell the III.

St. James Park

Okay, HOLY SHITBALLZ, RPATTZ is in Toronto filming "Cosmopolis" and looking all kinds of awesome in his suit!!! Mmmm, finger lickin' good. Ha ha!

Toronto Sculpture Garden

Across the street from the imposing Cathedral Church of St. James was this beautiful sculpture garden just calling our names...

Cathedral Church of St. James

Right around the corner from the Gooderham building was this impressive church...

Gooderham Building

One last view of a mural near the St. Lawrence Market...

Although I'd seen this iconic building before on postcards in Torontian gift shops, we weren't prepared to see it up close and personal a mere few minutes away from the market. This was a pleasant surprise...

St. Lawrence Market, Part 2

Oh yeah dudes, European Delight was awesome!

If you're ever in the mood for Ukrainian foods, this is the place to go...
